I’m Erin Hynes, a travel writer and podcaster, and I’m passionate about responsible tourism. I’m on a mission to help you travel in a way that is better for people, and the planet, and leads to meaningful travel experiences.

I started solo backpacking at 19 and quickly became curious about how travel impacts ecosystems, culture, heritage, and communities—for better or worse. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to raise awareness about responsible tourism through my blog, writing, podcast, and social media.

On Pina Travels, you’ll find guides covering responsible travel topics, like how to avoid overtourism and understanding travel privilege. And, you’ll find lots of destination guides packed with mindful travel tips that are based off of my own experience and my own travels.

I’ve been featured in Business Insider, AFAR Media, the Toronto Star, and I’m a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada. I’m also a Traverse Creator Awards winner and was shortlisted for Travel Creator of the Year by the Influence Awards.
